Right next to it is a small stream for refreshment.

Entry into Switzerland with dog
Unsure how you can enter Switzerland with your dog? In this section you will find all the important information. In principle, the normal travel regulations of the EU zone apply. The following points must be observed when entering Switzerland with a dog.
Entry from the EU:
- The animal needs a correctly filled out official pet passport.
- The animal must be properly marked – with a microchip or tattoo. A tattoo is only valid if it can be proven to have been done before July 3, 2011. Identification must be done before rabies vaccination.
- The animal is vaccinated against rabies. Entry into the country is possible at the earliest 21 days after vaccination. If subsequent vaccinations are carried out before the expiry of the validity period of the vaccination protection, the waiting period does not apply.
Entry from third countries:
For entry from third countries, the regulations differ depending on whether the entry is from a country with a low rabies risk or from a country with a high rabies risk (see list of countries under “Further information”). In any case, the animals must first be correctly marked, then validly vaccinated against rabies and accompanied by the respective required papers. For entry from rabies risk countries, more extensive requirements apply (blood test, longer waiting periods, import permit, etc.). This information comes from the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office.
